I was always fascinated at the amount of Joseph Campbell's knowledge and how he would come up with mythical stories during any kind of
discussion. It was obvious that the man was impassioned by the art of myth, whether the stories were handed down orally, written, or made
into a film.
What I loved about Mr. Campbell, however, was that he showed how the stories of the peoples of this world are woven together, connected, the
same with just a few tweeks and whistles here and there. The commonality of us all was evident in his lectures and books.
My husband and I have played a "game" for many years that asks, "Who would you want to invite to a dinner party?" The list has become rather
long, but Joseph Campbell was one of the first to be placed on it. I would hope he'd be amused.

The "Power of Myth" interviews filmed at Skywalker Ranch are great. You can tell that Bill Moyers is truly honored to be speaking to Mr.
Campbell. What a lucky experience.
